The business problem

Jahez Group is listed on the Saudi Exchange. Its corporate website carries regulated investor information (share data, financial results, announcements, the financial calendar and governance) in Arabic and English, and most visitors reach it on a phone. The site had to look like a listed company’s, stay fast, and let the finance and communications teams publish without waiting on a developer.

The technical challenge

  • One theme, two directions. Arabic runs right to left and English left to right, with identical structure, navigation and components in both.
  • Third-party investor tools inside the page. Live share information, announcements and calendars from Euroland had to sit inside the layout like native content, in both languages.
  • Regulated content that changes often. Financial reports, announcements and job listings needed structured content types, not one-off pages.

What I did

I worked on the site’s custom WordPress theme and built the interface components it relies on: custom carousels, accordions and overlays that behave correctly in both text directions, and the Euroland integration across the investor-relations section using auto-height embeds, so third-party widgets resize inside the page instead of scrolling inside a box. The site uses structured post types for financial reports and for jobs, so editors add a result or a vacancy through a form and the right templates render it.

Architecture

  • WordPress with a custom theme (no page builder) and WPML for Arabic and English, with hreflang for both languages
  • Custom post types for financials and jobs; around 25 page templates per language (investor relations hub, share information, financial information, financial calendar, announcements, analysts, fact sheet, corporate governance, listing journey, careers, newsroom, sustainability)
  • Euroland investor tools embedded in the investor-relations pages
  • Cloudflare in front of the site

Results

Real-user data from the Chrome UX Report (what visitors’ phones actually experienced) shows the following for jahezgroup.com on mobile. These figures are for the whole site over the period and reflect every change made to it, not only mine.

  • Largest Contentful Paint at the 75th percentile went from 3.4 s (January 2023) to 2.0 s (December 2024).
  • The share of fast mobile page loads rose from 30% to 54%, and the share of slow loads fell from 10% to 4%.
  • Today the site passes Core Web Vitals on mobile: LCP 1.9 s, Interaction to Next Paint 75 ms and no layout shift (August 2026).

What I would do differently

Real-user data shows the desktop layout still shifts while the hero carousel loads, so I would reserve the carousel’s space in the layout from the start. It is the kind of detail a technical assessment catches.

If your site has live data, two languages and a team that needs to publish on its own, a technical assessment is the quickest way to see what to fix first. For new builds, see custom WordPress development.
